“We are pleased that the 2024 U.S News & World Report rankings for the Best Public Health Schools acknowledge the exceptional and impactful accomplishments of the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health’s faculty, students, and staff. Although the methodology of the rankings is far from perfect, it is an honor to be recognized by our academic public health peers,” said UCLA Fielding School of Public Health dean and distinguished professor of biostatistics Dr. Ron Brookmeyer. “The success of UCLA Fielding is due to the commitment of our faculty, students, staff, alumni, partners, and friends. Our school provides students with cutting edge public health training from world-renowned faculty, and the opportunity to meaningfully engage in research and fieldwork in Los Angeles and around the globe.”
UCLA’s unified campus is an ideal environment for multidisciplinary collaboration — the schools of public health, medicine, law, nursing, management, public policy, dentistry, engineering and more are all co-located — and Los Angeles is a model setting to address public health challenges confronting our global community today. Home to a broad range of industries as well as 10 million residents who speak an estimated 224 languages, Los Angeles offers unparalleled opportunities for public health teaching, research, and service.
